Challenge
Some of our production lines require 24-hour operation, making consistent temperature control essential for maintaining product quality. Currently, the factory utilizes a chiller-based central air conditioning system. To manage temperatures, we had to run the chillers throughout the night. However, since only a portion of the lines operate during the night shift, running the entire central system resulted in a significant financial burden due to high electricity costs.
Solution
To address this issue, we installed additional energy-efficient packaged air conditioning units. We transitioned to a system that uses these packaged units at night to provide targeted cooling only for the specific production lines in operation. This approach allowed us to reduce the use of the central chillers during night shifts, making temperature management significantly more efficient.

By utilizing the different air conditioning systems strategically based on factory operation status, we achieved the following results:
