About Magnetic Particle Testing Equipment
Magnetic particle testing equipment is a non-destructive testing device that detects fine cracks, fractures, and defects on the surface and near-surface of steel materials and welded joints. It visualizes defects by utilizing the phenomenon where magnetic particles accumulate at defect areas when scattered on magnetized test objects. Essential for quality control of automotive parts, aircraft components, pressure vessels, and welded structures, it offers a wide lineup from fluorescent magnetic particle testing equipment, wet and dry type magnetic particle testing equipment, handheld types to large automatic machines. Unlike ultrasonic testing equipment and penetrant testing equipment, it plays an important role in manufacturing quality assurance processes as a testing method specifically for ferromagnetic materials.
