SIJ Acroni offers two distinct steel product lines: SIDUR wear-resistant steels and SIMAXX high-strength steels, both engineered for demanding industrial applications. SIDUR steels, with hardness ranging from 250 to 600 HBW, provide optimized hardness, strength, and toughness, extending product lifespan up to three times compared to non-alloyed structural steels in abrasive environments like mining equipment, crusher jaws, and industrial tools. Notable grades include SIDUR 350 HI TEMP, which resists softening up to 450°C with good weldability, and SIDUR 3401 (Hadfield steel), a high-manganese steel exhibiting work-hardening effects that can triple hardness under dynamic loads. SIMAXX high-strength steels enable lighter, tougher, and more homogeneous structures, reducing material thickness and welding demands, thereby lowering production costs for applications such as lifting equipment, transport vehicles, cranes, and bridges. Both product families feature narrow dimensional tolerances, extensive mechanical treatment possibilities, and are supported by SIJ's 400 years of steelmaking experience, robust R&D, and rigorous quality control, including EN ISO 6506-1 and EN 10204/3.1 certifications. Detailed chemical compositions (e.g., C, Mn, Cr, Mo, B content), mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, Charpy V-notch impact), and specific welding and bending recommendations are provided to ensure optimal performance and manufacturing processes.
