The OilGuard On-line Oil in Water Analyzer is a sophisticated process photometer engineered for continuous, highly accurate monitoring of oil traces across diverse water streams, correlating to international standard reference methods. Its core technology leverages a well-proven UV-Fluorescence measuring principle, complemented by advanced dual-beam optics that ensure exceptional accuracy and long-term stability through automatic compensation for light source aging and environmental fluctuations. A key innovation contributing to its low cost of ownership is the true non-contact measurement capability in a free-fall stream, specifically designed for dirty water applications. This design drastically minimizes soiling and maintenance needs, eliminating the requirement for ultrasonic cleaning and ensuring extended maintenance intervals. For cleaner water and condensate, a dedicated closed flow cell is available, supporting flow rates from 0.5 to 2 l/min at up to 1 MPa and 100°C. The system's flexible, modular design accommodates application-specific requirements, while an integrated control unit with a color touchscreen, intuitive interface, and data logger provides comprehensive operation and stores up to 32 days of measurement data. Fast and reliable recalibration is achieved using a unique solid reference checking unit, which eliminates the need for chemicals or special tools. The OilGuard is ideally suited for monitoring oil in raw water, boiler water, condensate, heat exchangers, effluent, and storm water, serving critical industries such as power plants, water treatment facilities, and the oil industry. Key technical specifications include a configurable measuring span from 0-100 FLU to 0-1000 ppm oil, a resolution of +/- 0.001 FLU or +/- 2%, and a rapid response time of less than 2 seconds. Operating reliably within an ambient temperature range of -20 to +50 °C with an IP65 protection degree, it offers versatile connectivity via 0/4-20 mA analog outputs, multiple digital outputs, and robust digital interfaces including Ethernet, Modbus TCP, and optional HART/Profibus DP.
