The SIGRIST PhaseGuard is an in-line interface monitor for turbidity or colour, designed for precise monitoring and control in various industrial processes. It features a sealless design with sapphire windows, ensuring extremely low maintenance and high reliability, and offers fixed pathlengths (10mm for T & C models, 5mm for HT model) for straightforward model selection. Operating on the absorption principle, it uses an 880 nm LED for turbidity and a 430 nm LED for colour, providing a measuring range of 0-100% absorption with 0.5% resolution. Applications include monitoring interfaces in beverages, optimizing beer/yeast separation, CIP process monitoring in the dairy industry, and recognizing interfaces for product changeover, ultimately minimizing losses and increasing yields across beverage, food & dairy, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. The device supports flexible configuration via a USB interface or an optional SICON control unit with a touchscreen, and offers communication options such as Profibus DP, Modbus RTU, and HART, compatible with sample temperatures from -10 to +100 °C and pressures up to 1 MPa.
