The GT Holder catalog presents a series expansion for external grooving in small parts machining, covering a wide range of shallow grooving operations. Newly added 0° offset and 90° holders are featured, with the 90° holders specifically designed with optimized neck dimensions to significantly improve resistance to chatter and vibration. The system incorporates a back clamping mechanism for gang-type tool posts on Swiss automatic lathes, enabling quick and accurate tool changes and enhancing operational efficiency. Key insert grades include MS7025, a PVD coated grade with a precise nano-multilayer coating that dramatically improves welding and wear resistance in low-feed machining by suppressing built-up edge and reducing machining marks, ensuring superior surface finish and consistency even after 100 passes on materials like SUS304 and pure iron. MT2015, a non-coated carbide grade, offers high toughness against sudden fractures, extending tool life for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys. Additionally, VP15TF/VP15KZ, an (Al,Ti)N coated grade, provides excellent heat resistance and adhesion strength for versatile machining processes, further suppressing cutting edge damage and prolonging tool life. This comprehensive system delivers stable, high-quality machining performance across diverse materials.
