Tin plating is widely used in fields such as electronic components, electrical contacts, connectors, and terminals due to its excellent solderability, high electrical conductivity, and good corrosion resistance. Particularly, as lead-free initiatives advance due to environmental regulations like the RoHS directive, the demand for pure tin plating is increasing, but managing the risk of whisker growth is crucial. Barrel plating is suitable for mass production while keeping costs down compared to rack plating, as parts are processed within a rotating barrel.
