About Electroless nickel (barrel)
Hot-dip galvanizing (large items: steel materials, etc.) is a process in which large steel materials are immersed in a molten zinc bath heated to approximately 450°C to form a corrosion-resistant zinc coating on their surface. As a pretreatment, materials undergo degreasing, pickling, and flux treatment before immersion. The steel and zinc then react to form a highly adhesive zinc-iron alloy layer and a pure zinc layer. This coating, due to zinc's sacrificial corrosion protection and barrier effect, protects the steel from rust over a long period. It is widely applied to large steel structures such as building frameworks, bridge components, power transmission towers, and guardrails, which require high durability outdoors. Because a uniform coating can be obtained even on complex shapes, it significantly reduces maintenance frequency compared to painting, contributing to a reduction in life cycle costs.
