About Black chromium (rack)
Black chrome (barrel) is a plating process that provides small parts with a black appearance and functionality. Barrel plating is characterized by its ability to process large quantities of screws, fasteners, and small precision parts efficiently, as it involves electrolytic treatment while agitating parts in a rotating barrel-shaped container. Black chrome plating offers not only decorative appeal but also low reflectivity to suppress light reflection, excellent corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. Primary applications include improving light absorption in internal components of cameras and optical instruments, enhancing design and providing corrosion resistance for automotive interior and exterior parts, and improving the functionality of precision machine parts. From an environmental regulation perspective, there has been a recent shift towards trivalent chromium-based black chrome plating.
