About Hot-rolled steel plate
Hot-rolled steel sheet is a steel sheet manufactured by rolling steel ingots at high temperatures above their recrystallization temperature. Its characteristics include the adhesion of oxide scale (black scale) to its surface, and while its dimensional accuracy and surface smoothness are inferior compared to cold-rolled steel sheets, it possesses excellent strength, toughness, and workability, and offers superior cost performance. Its main applications are widespread in fields requiring high strength and durability, such as automobile chassis and frames, building structural materials, industrial machinery, ships, and bridges. Common processing methods include cutting by shearing or laser, bending with a press brake, and welding. If necessary, the black scale may also be removed by pickling or shot blasting.
