The PTB-M is an ideal instrument for tablet hardness testing, compliant with USP <1217> and EP <2.9.8>. It allows for easy and accurate measurement of sample hardness through manual operation, results are displayed on an LED display, and data storage via printer connection is also possible.
The PTB-M is a device designed primarily for the pharmaceutical industry, used for manual tablet hardness testing. This instrument measures hardness up to the breaking point by manually fixing the tablet and applying pressure by turning a knob. Measurement results are displayed in Newton (N), Kilopond (Kp), StrongCobb (Sc), and Pound (Lb), with one-touch unit switching available. It can be used with both battery power and an AC adapter, and results can be output by connecting to the PT-RP80 reporting printer.
