A ground-grade insert with a 3-corner specification, optimal for high-precision shallow grooving such as circlip grooves. It achieves both economy and high precision.
The GTGN type is a high-precision shallow grooving insert offered by Tungaloy Corporation. It is optimal for shallow grooving that requires precision, such as circlip grooves, and can accommodate groove widths from 1.00mm to 2.25mm (tolerance ±0.03mm) and groove depths up to a maximum of 1.80mm. Its 3-corner specification also provides excellent economy.

GTGN type inserts are compatible with external and internal grooving. However, since the hand of the insert is reversed for external and internal diameters, please use it in combination with an appropriate holder.
