An innovative turning insert that achieves cost reduction through miniaturization and high cutting performance, compatible with a wide range of work materials.
ISO-EcoTurn is Tungaloy's series of compact, high-performance turning inserts. By miniaturizing the insert size while maintaining cutting performance equivalent to standard sizes, it achieves cost reduction and productivity improvement. It can accommodate a wide range of work materials, including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, and titanium alloys.

- Economy through Compact Inserts
By miniaturizing the insert, material costs are reduced, and tool change frequency is decreased. This reduces total machining costs.
- High Cutting Performance
The insert thickness and chipbreaker geometry are identical to standard sizes, demonstrating equivalent cutting performance for machining up to a maximum depth of cut of 3mm. This enables stable chip control and high-precision machining.
- Flexible Holder Design
Cartridge sets are available for holding compact inserts, and by attaching them to existing standard holders, ISO-EcoTurn inserts can be used without changing the holder. This allows for reduced tool inventory and flexible tool operation.
- Diverse Chip Geometries and Grades
New geometry inserts such as GNMG and FNMG have been added to meet a wide range of machining needs. Furthermore, various grades are available in the lineup, including the latest CVD grade T9200 series, allowing for optimal selection according to work material and machining conditions.
ISO-EcoTurn combines economy through miniaturization with high cutting performance, contributing to cost reduction and productivity improvement in a wide range of machining environments.
