Spot Welding_MOTOMAN-SP Series_Catalog
Precision and Efficiency for Spot Welding.
The YASKAWA MOTOMAN-SP Series catalog introduces advanced robot systems specifically designed for spot welding applications, fully compatible with the YRC1000 Robot Controller. The series boasts an extensive lineup of 6-axis manipulators, offering diverse payloads ranging from 80kg to 235kg and maximum reaches up to 3140mm. Notably, hollow-arm models like the SP110H and SP225H integrate welding cables internally, significantly reducing interference with surrounding equipment and simplifying both offline simulation and teaching. A standout 7-axis model, the SP100B, incorporates an E-axis between the L and U axes, allowing for variable L-arm length and an expanded welding motion range, which contributes to reduced system installation width, high-density layouts, and enhanced flexibility for high-mix production. Maintenance is also streamlined through features like battery-less zero-position data saving and reduced cable/connector counts. The YRC1000 Robot Controller, a compact (125L) and globally standardized unit, features built-in external axis amplifiers for up to three axes. It introduces advanced motion control, improving cycle time by up to 10% and path accuracy by 80% compared to previous models. The lightweight 730g programming pendant offers intuitive touch-screen operation and 3D robot model display. Energy consumption is reduced by up to 30% thanks to its power regeneration function. Optimized functions for spot welding include optional real-time monitoring and graphing of welding data for quality visualization, automatic guidance for welding conditions based on plate specifications, and workpiece thickness detection to prevent defects without external sensors. Complementing these robots are modularized external cables for simplified installation and maintenance, along with various system components such as 3-axis positioners (e.g., MOTOMAN-MPOS225H with 225kg payload), 3-orthogonal-axis positioning robots (MOTOMAN-UH100Y with 100kg payload), and versatile traverse tracks (MOTOBASE-TSA Series) with travel strokes up to 10 meters and speeds up to 1.5 m/s. These comprehensive solutions collectively aim to improve welding quality, increase productivity, make equipment more compact, and enhance overall operational efficiency and ease of maintenance.
