Tungaloy's REAMMEISTER is an innovative head-changeable reamer designed for high-precision and productive finishing hole operations, achieving H7 hole accuracy for diameters from Ø10 to 32 mm and L/D ratios from 1.5xD to 8xD. Its key features include a quick-change twist-lock clamping system (self-clamp for Ø10-11.499mm, screw-clamp for Ø11.5-32mm) that minimizes costs by eliminating regrinding and re-coating, and ensures stable part quality. The reamer incorporates optimal through-coolant supply (axial for blind holes, peripheral for through holes, radial for common use) for efficient chip evacuation, improved surface finish, and extended tool life by cooling cutting edges. An anti-vibration variable pitch design (α1 ≠ α2 ≠ ... ≠ α6) prevents chatter during high-speed machining, contributing to superior wear resistance, impact resistance, and overall machining efficiency compared to conventional solid reamers. The system guarantees excellent geometric tolerances, achieving circularity below 3 µm and cylindricity below 9 µm, with recommended runout control below 0.005 mm. Customizable reamer heads are available, and specific cutting conditions (Vc, fz, f) are provided for various ISO material groups (P, M, K, N, S, H). For long overhang applications (5D-8D), recommendations include using an internal chamfer at the hole entrance and adjusting cutting parameters for initial engagement to ensure process stability. Floating holders are also available to compensate for axial errors in CNC lathes.
