Tungaloy's TinyMini-Turn catalog introduces advanced internal turning tools, emphasizing the expansion of the SH725 grade with coolant-hole solid carbide boring bars and new sleeves for optimal performance in small-diameter machining. Key features include five strategically placed coolant holes (one in the solid carbide bar and four in the sleeve) for superior chip formation, efficient evacuation, and extended tool life, effectively preventing chip bird-nesting and machine downtime. The SH725 grade, a PVD-coated (Ti,Al)N carbide, offers excellent wear, chipping, chip welding, and plastic deformation resistance, ensuring stable machining and predictable tool life. For even smaller bores, solid carbide boring bars start from ø0.6 mm, while CBN-grade BX310 tools are available for bores as small as ø2.8 mm, providing long and predictable tool life in high-speed applications. An economical indexable solution for miniature boring applications, starting from ø5 mm, is also presented, featuring various chipbreakers and grades for excellent chip control and improved chip evacuation with coolant-through designs. The product line covers a wide range of machining operations including boring, profiling, chamfering, internal/face grooving, threading, and back boring, with detailed cutting conditions provided for diverse workpiece materials.
