Tungaloy's TUNGSMILL is a high-speed face milling cutter specifically designed for efficient finishing of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. This super high-density PCD cutter features an extremely high number of PCD cutting edges, such as 22 inserts per ø100 mm cutter, enabling cutting speeds of 3,000 m/min or higher and rotation up to 20,000 min⁻¹. Its innovative CamAdjust system allows precise 1mm axial insert adjustment with a single key wrench, significantly reducing setting time. Technical features include internal coolant delivery to each pocket for smooth chip evacuation, a durable steel body with G6.3 balancing for high-speed stability, and a wedge-shaped safety lock to prevent insert dislocation from centrifugal force. Various insert types are available, including standard, deburring inserts for reduced burr formation, and wiper inserts for superior surface finish, all contributing to enhanced productivity and extended tool life in applications involving cast aluminum, aluminum, and copper alloys.
