This versatile system delivers top performance across various operations, from high-feed and finish milling to scale removal and stainless steel machining. Its rigid dovetail clamping, secured by a single screw, ensures high stability, preventing insert movement and extending tool life, especially in high-temperature material applications. The SNMU/SNGU square inserts provide 8 cutting edges with a max ap of 6mm, offering excellent chip control and low cutting force for gummy materials like stainless steel, while ensuring superior surface finish. The ONMU/ONGU octagonal inserts feature 16 cutting edges with a max ap of 3.4mm, providing high economy and low cutting force. For roughing, the RNMU/RNGU round inserts offer 8 cutting edges with a max ap of 6mm, utilizing a robust and helical cutting edge design for stable, low-force machining in high-feed or large depth-of-cut applications. The system boasts a rich grade lineup including AH3135 (PVD for steel/stainless), AH120 (PVD for steel/stainless), and new CVD grades T3225 (P, M for high-speed steel/stainless with enhanced chipping/peeling resistance via PREMIUMTEC) and T1215 (K for high-speed cast iron with superior wear/chipping resistance). Three different pitches (standard, close, extra-close) are available, enhancing adaptability for diverse workpiece configurations and spindle power, as demonstrated in practical examples for turbine blades, pump housings, and more, showcasing improved tool life and productivity.
