IM-5MET
The OPTIKA IM-5MET is an inverted trinocular metallurgical microscope designed for brightfield, darkfield, and simple polarized light observation. It features a Siedentopf head with a 45° inclination and 100/0-50/50 split ratio, 10x/24mm high eyepoint eyepieces, and a quintuple reversed nosepiece with M26 objective threads. The system utilizes IOS LWD U-PLAN MET and MET BD objectives, offering magnifications from 50x to 1000x with various working distances (e.g., 5x/0.15 W.D. 10.8mm to 100x/0.8 W.D. 2.1mm for MET, and similar for MET BD and F MET series). Its mechanical stage measures 240x250mm with a 50x50mm rack and pinion moving range and 0.1mm X-Y Vernier scale accuracy. Focusing is achieved via coaxial coarse and fine adjustment with 2µm resolution. Illumination is provided by a 100W halogen lamp (3,500K, >3,000 hours lifetime) with brightness control. The microscope includes a metallographic attachment with a polarizer, 360° rotatable analyzer, darkfield illumination, and centerable diaphragms, powered by an external 100/240 Vac, 50/60 Hz supply with ECO function.
