■　Procurement of Specialty Resin Materials That Are Difficult to Obtain in Thailand from Overseas

Among specialty resins and super engineering plastics, some materials have limited distribution volumes in Thailand, making it difficult to immediately secure the required grades or sizes.

Technoplast utilizes suppliers in various parts of the world, including Japan, China, Germany, and the United States, to procure materials that are difficult to obtain in Thailand as well as materials specified by overseas final delivery destinations.

Our strength lies in our ability to check procurement sources, including overseas suppliers, according to the specified material or specifications without limiting the options to availability within Thailand. In addition, procured materials can be machined at our own factory in Thailand as required and supplied as finished components.

■　Overseas Procurement Case Study: Emergency Procurement of PPSU from Belgium

In this case, PPSU was required for an industrial machinery component, but at that time the necessary material could not be secured in Thailand.
We therefore checked overseas inventory availability and found that the required PPSU was available in Belgium. The material was procured locally and transported to Thailand by air freight.

Although we had no previous experience machining this particular material, we utilized the machining know-how and knowledge of plastic materials we had accumulated to quickly conduct machining tests. We then proceeded to actual production machining and completed the process through product delivery promptly, enabling us to meet the customer's requested delivery schedule.

In this way, Technoplast utilizes inventory and suppliers around the world, rather than limiting procurement to Thailand, and provides integrated support from material procurement through machining. We provide flexible and rapid solutions according to customer needs.

■　Material Selection Based on Operating Conditions

Technoplast not only arranges specified materials but also supports material selection according to operating conditions.

For example, in a project where we received a request to use PEEK, we reviewed the application and operating environment and determined that the required heat resistance was approximately 200°C. We therefore proposed changing the material to PPS, which met the heat-resistance requirement while being less expensive than PEEK, resulting in reduced component costs.

We confirm operating temperature, chemical resistance, sliding conditions, load, and other factors and propose materials based on the balance between performance and cost.
