【Precision Machining in Thailand】Integrated Support with CNC Automatic Lathes, NC Lathes, and Machining Centers
KYOWA NT (THAILAND) CO., LTD. operates a production base in Ayutthaya Province, Thailand, and provides contract precision machining services.
Using CNC automatic lathes, NC lathes, and machining centers, we perform turning, milling, drilling, complex-shape machining, and other processes. Depending on the part shape, material, quantity, and required accuracy, we combine multiple machines and processes and consider a suitable machining method for each workpiece.
In addition, we utilize the special-tool design and manufacturing know-how of our group companies in Japan to provide integrated support from cutting and finishing through cleaning and inspection.

■ Precision machining base in Ayutthaya, Thailand
Our factory is located in Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya Province and performs precision machining for automotive parts as well as parts related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment, servers, pneumatic equipment, and other applications.
The factory is equipped for turning, machining, grinding, finishing, and cleaning. Based on machining technology and quality control developed through volume production, we provide contract machining for a wide range of precision parts.
■ Supported machining processes and materials
We support turning, milling, drilling, threading, shaft machining, as well as complex-shaped parts requiring multiple machining processes.
Supported materials include aluminum, stainless steel, iron, brass, and POM.
Machinable sizes, tolerances, surface roughness, and production quantities vary depending on the material, shape, and equipment used. We review drawings and required specifications to determine machining feasibility.
■ Main equipment and machine list
At our Ayutthaya factory, we have a wide range of machining equipment centered on CNC automatic lathes, NC lathes, and machining centers.
Equipment | Quantity | Main Manufacturers |
CNC automatic lathes | 61 units | TSUGAMI、STAR、CINCOM |
NC lathes | 19 units | TAKAMAZ、MAZAK、TAKISAWA |
Machining centers | 27 units | FANUC、ENSHU、BROTHER |
Other equipment | 13 units | TAKISAWA、TSUGAMI、MICRON、OHMIYA、KYOWA KOGYO、CLEANVY、MAKINO |
We also have internal grinding machines, centerless grinding machines, buffing equipment, cleaning equipment, hydrocarbon cleaning machines and other equipment.
■ Process design combining multiple types of equipment
Rather than fitting a workpiece to the equipment we already have, we determine the machining method based on the part shape and production conditions. For example, CNC automatic lathes are used for parts continuously machined from bar stock, NC lathes for chuck work, and machining centers for milling, drilling, and multi-face machining.
In some cases, dividing the work between an NC lathe and a machining center may be more suitable in terms of machining time and productivity than completing all machining on a single machine. For this reason, we consider the equipment to be used and the process sequence for each workpiece based on its shape, material, quantity, required accuracy, and other conditions.
■ Machining proposals utilizing Japanese special-tool technology
One of our features is that, in addition to machining with standard tools, we can utilize special-tool technology from our group companies in Japan. National Tool in Japan designs and manufactures special cutting tools according to the shape and intended use of the parts to be machined.
For example, machining that would normally require multiple operations with standard tools may be combined into a single process by using a special tool designed to match the required shape. Consolidating processes can reduce machining time and tool changes, which can lead to lower costs in volume production.
Reducing the number of machining operations can also help reduce potential sources of error, such as positional misalignment that can occur between multiple processes.
Because special tools require design and manufacturing costs, we consider production quantity, required accuracy, machining time, and other factors when determining whether standard tools or special tools are more suitable.
KYOWA NT connects Kyowa Kogyo's machining technology, National Tool's NC machining and special-tool technology, and the production equipment at our Thailand factory to develop proposals that reconsider the machining method itself.
■ Integrated support from finishing to inspection
To support processes after cutting, we also have equipment for internal grinding, centerless grinding, buffing, and cleaning. Depending on the workpiece, finishing processes after cutting can be incorporated and managed through inspection within a single production system.
For quality verification, we use image dimension measuring machines, contour and surface roughness measuring machines, roundness and cylindrical form measuring machines, measuring microscopes, coordinate measuring machines, and other inspection equipment.
We are also certified to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and carry out quality control from machining through inspection.
