■ Short Lead Time Response Leveraging FUSOH TUBE PARTS' Material Inventory
We have our own warehouse at our base in Thailand (Pinthong Industrial Estate 1, Chonburi Province), stocking approximately 2,500 tons of materials such as steel tubes and round bars.
Benefits of Holding Stock
With a system that combines the functions of both a "wholesaler (trading company)" and a "manufacturer," we can directly feed materials from our in-house inventory into the processing lines. This reduces the lead time required for sourcing materials externally and mitigates risks caused by supply chain instability, enabling short lead-time supply.
Handled Stock Materials
- Steel Tubes: Seamless steel tubes for machine structural purposes (STKM), stainless steel tubes, square pipes, and irregular-shaped square pipes
- Steel Bars: Round bars (S-C materials, SCM materials, etc.), flat bars
■ In-House Completed One-Stop Service
By consolidating processes from material procurement to cutting, turning, welding, and inspection in one single location, we help reduce inter-process losses in complex workflows. This also contributes to reducing order management across multiple vendors, transport costs, and communication overhead.
Synergy Between Processes
- Material Procurement & Selection: Selecting suitable materials from our global network based on drawing specifications.
- Precision Cutting: Cutting to specified dimensions using circular saws and band saws.
- NC Machining: Lathe turning using OKUMA and MAZAK machines.
- Welding: Supporting sub-assemblies with OTC welding robots.
- Special Processing: Processing complex 3D shapes and irregular-shaped pipes using HG TECH 3D fiber lasers. * For details, please download the PDF file attached to this article or contact us using the form at the bottom of the page.
■ Major Equipment and Processing Range
We have introduced the latest equipment in our Thailand factory to support drawing-based processing.
Equipment Type | Manufacturer / Model | Specifications / Features |
3D Fiber Laser | HG TECH | Supports φ20 mm–φ280 mm, maximum feeding length of 7,500 mm, and plate thicknesses of 1–10 mm. |
NC Lathe | OKUMA / MAZAK | Supports turning operations. MAZAK QUICK TURN supports a maximum outer diameter of φ430 mm. |
Machining Center | MAXMILL VMC 1166 | Complex milling and drilling operations. High-rigidity box way / square slide specification. |
Welding Robot | OTC | Supports stabilization of welding quality for structural components. |
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) | Mitutoyo (CRYSTA-Apex S) | Strict dimensional measurement and assurance based on drawing tolerances. |
■ Quality Control and Traceability
We thoroughly implement consistent lot management (traceability) that links mill sheets (steel test certificates) with inspection records of each processing step and the final product. With an inspection system using 3D coordinate measuring machines and other equipment, we ship products only after verifying quality based on the drawings.
■ FAQ
Q1. : Is it possible to request only welding or processing (customer-supplied materials)?
A1. : At FUSOH TUBE PARTS, our core business is integrated supply combining "material procurement + processing." By providing materials and processing as a package, it is easier for us to offer VE (Value Engineering) proposals for cost reduction based on material characteristics, as well as efficiency benefits through process consolidation.
Q2. : How does process consolidation lead to cost reduction?
A12. : By completing everything under one roof, it is easier to minimize transport costs between factories, work-in-progress inventory management costs, and risks associated with miscommunication between different steps. It allows for optimization of total costs while overlooking the entire process.
Q3. : Do you support the processing of irregular-shaped tubes and thick-walled materials?
A3. : Using our 3D fiber laser, we can handle the cutting and processing of steel tubes in wall thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 10mm, as well as special shapes such as those used in driver cabins for construction machinery.
Q4. : Could you explain your verification system for dimensional accuracy?
A4. : We measure critical dimensions using Mitutoyo 3D coordinate measuring machines. We have established a quality verification system based on measurement data and have a track record of supplying to Japanese Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies.
