【Camera Parts】Precision Injection Molding for Brackets and Mechanical Components | Polycarbonate | From Mold Manufacturing to Mass Production
Internal camera brackets and fine decorative covers demand micron-level precision, but few Thai suppliers combine reliable quality control with sufficient capacity for this work. Hakkai Precision (Thailand) offers fully integrated production at its Ayutthaya factory — mold design, molding with materials including polycarbonate, through to assembly.

Integrated Production and the Otsuka Group Foundation
- Financial Stability Under Otsuka Holdings
Financial stability and long-term delivery reliability are top criteria when Japanese manufacturers vet new overseas suppliers. We've been a wholly owned subsidiary of Otsuka Chemical Co., Ltd. since late October 2023, part of the Otsuka Holdings group (¥2.3 trillion+ in consolidated sales, 174 group companies worldwide) — giving customers dependable continuity even on long, high-investment camera part programs.
- One Factory, Start to Finish
When mold making and molding are split across companies, tracking down a dimensional error or warping takes longer, delaying development. We run every process — mold design, molding, assembly — at one Ayutthaya factory. If issues arise, our mold and molding teams resolve them on the spot, without shipping molds back to Japan, cutting development time significantly.
- Resident Japanese Engineers
Overseas outsourcing often runs into trouble when fine appearance requirements or tolerances aren't fully communicated, forcing repeated prototype revisions. Our Ayutthaya factory has resident Japanese engineers and managers, so customers can discuss specs directly in Japanese, using the same standards as our head office (hakkai Co., Ltd.) — fast turnaround with reliable precision.
- IATF 16949 and BCP-Ready
Our factory holds IATF 16949 (automotive quality standard) since March 2018, plus ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. After the 2011 floods, we raised electrical equipment to prevent flood damage, and added rooftop solar in 2021 — building resilience alongside sustainable production.

- Precision Polycarbonate Molding
Camera brackets commonly use polycarbonate (PC) for its impact resistance and dimensional stability — but PC's shrinkage is hard to control, making it prone to warping and weld lines. We use "MOLDEX 3D 2024" flow analysis to simulate gate positions and fill pressure before mold production, then apply precise packing pressure control — delivering brackets with minimal deformation and consistent accuracy.
- Elastomer Molding for Small External Parts
Parts like tiny screw-hole covers use elastomer or polyacetal (POM) for a flexible feel with precise dimensions, requiring consistent texture and near-invisible anti-slip hook shapes. We manufacture molds in-house with EDM and precision grinders, engraving fine textures and shapes accurately — minimizing flash so no manual rework is needed, and every cover fits perfectly.
Process from Prototyping to Mass Production
If your current supplier lacks capacity or has quality issues, here's how we bring you onboard:
- Requirements review — Japanese engineers take specs directly in Japanese from 3D/2D drawings; decisions made on-site, no round trips to Japan.
- Flow simulation — MOLDEX 3D checks shrinkage, weld lines, and gas traps, informing gate and vent placement.
- Mold and prototype production — Made in-house with precision grinders and machining centers; adjustments handled on-site immediately.
- Measurement and approval — Micron-level tolerances verified with 3D measuring equipment; samples shipped with detailed reports.
- Mass production and BCP support — At ~42% utilization, we have capacity for urgent relocations (e.g., from China) or sudden volume increases.

FAQ
Q1. Experience with major camera manufacturers assembling in Thailand?
A. Yes. Since late last year, we've received significant orders from major camera manufacturers with Thailand assembly bases — brackets, screw-hole covers, and more — now in mass production.
Q2. Can you address deformation and warping in polycarbonate molding?
A. Yes. We use MOLDEX 3D to analyze stress and temperature distribution, then design reinforcement shapes and optimal cooling channels in-house — achieving spec-compliant parts with no mold rework.
Q3. Can you mold using molds made by another company?
A. Yes. Our engineers inspect mold condition and history, repair if needed, then run stable mass production on our 15–100 ton machines.
Q4. Can we audit your financials, BOI status, and certifications before starting?
A. Absolutely. We're a wholly owned Otsuka Chemical subsidiary with transparent, stable finances, BOI approval since 2005, and IATF 16949 since 2018. Our Japanese team handles factory visits and audits entirely in Japanese.
