[MGA] Mini Guide Slider / Guide-Integrated Actuator That Helps Reduce Machine Space, Improve Accuracy, and Shorten Design Time
The MGA Series from KOGANEI is an air cylinder with an integrated Linear Guide. It helps ensure stable movement, supports loads effectively, and is easier to install than designing a separate Cylinder + Guide unit. It is suitable for automation applications that require both accuracy and long-term reliability.

Why the MGA Series Is Suitable for Automation Applications
Combines a Cylinder and Linear Guide into a single unit, helping reduce installation space

High repeatability of up to ±0.02 mm, helping improve positioning accuracy
4-Point Contact Linear Guide supports loads and moments from all directions
According to the table, the MGA Bore 12 mm can support a higher moment load than Brand A’s Bore 16 mm product. This helps make it possible to design smaller machines while maintaining operational stability and accuracy.
| MGA12X40 | MGA20X40 | Model | Brand A Bore16 |
| 14.5 Nm | 25.2 Nm | Mp | 11.3 Nm |
| 17.2 Nm | 30.0 Nm | My | 11.3 Nm |
| 25.6 Nm | 48.2 Nm | Mr | 11.3 Nm |
| 56.5 N / 46.7 N | 157.0 N / 131.9 N | Push Thrust / Pull Thrust | 201 N / 151 N |
| 89 mm | 99 mm | Length | 97 mm |
| 34 mm | 47 mm | Width | 62 mm |
| 18 mm | 28 mm | Height | 40 mm |
| 283 g | 659 g | Mass | 640 g |

Supports bore sizes from φ4.5 to φ32 mm
Available in specialized models for Clean Room, Stroke Adjusting, and End Keep applications
Designed for Durability and Easy Maintenance
The Body and Table are made of Stainless Steel for strength and long service life
The 4-Point Contact guide rail system helps maintain stable movement even under side loads
Non-Lube Cylinder design helps reduce lubrication and maintenance requirements
Select the Right Model for Your Application
KOGANEI developed the MGA Series with a wide range of model variations to meet different production line requirements, from general applications and stroke adjustment needs to applications requiring safety or clean room compatibility.
| Model | Suitable For | Key Features |
MGA
| General automation applications | Standard model, easy to install, suitable for a wide range of applications |
MGAP / MGAE
| Applications requiring stop position adjustment | Adjustable stroke helps reduce machine setup time |
MGAG
| Applications with impact at the stroke end | Built-in buffer helps reduce impact and extend service life |
MGAK
| Vertical applications or applications with safety risks | End Keep Mechanism prevents the slider from dropping when air pressure is lost |
MGAH
| Machines with limited space | Rear piping helps organize installation and save space |
CS-MGA
| Electronics, semiconductor, and clean room applications | Designed for low particle generation, suitable for clean rooms |
MGAR
| Food, packaging, and high-humidity environments | Corrosion-resistant and suitable for high-humidity conditions |
MGAF
| Ovens, sealing machines, and heat processes | Supports high-temperature applications up to 150°C and can be used in high-heat environments |
MGASB
| Machines with limited space or many installed components | Air ports and sensor rail are integrated on the same side, helping reduce installation space and improve machine layout |
In addition, special models are available that combine multiple functions in one unit, such as models with both stroke adjustment and buffer functions, or models that combine buffer and end keep functions. These models support specialized applications that require accuracy, safety, and durability.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How should the MGA Series be maintained to preserve long-term accuracy?
A : It is recommended to use the MGA Series together with a Metal Stopper or Shock Absorber to achieve accuracy of ±0.02 mm. Although the cylinder itself does not require lubrication, grease should be applied to the guide rail section, such as CGL grease, every 6 months or every 3 million operations.
Q2: Which model should be selected if space is very limited or if the unit will be used in a Clean Room?
A : For limited spaces, the MGAH model with rear piping is recommended to save side space. For clean room applications, the CS-MGA model is recommended. It is certified for Class 5 or Class 6 cleanroom standards, depending on the bore size.
Q3: What precautions should be taken when installing the MGA Series made of stainless steel?
A : There are two main precautions:
Rust prevention: Salt from sweat may cause rust, so gloves should always be worn when handling or installing the product.
Sensor interference: The unit may become magnetized if it comes into direct contact with a magnet, which may cause the sensor switch to malfunction.
