iXacs monitors for smart factory Kaizen.
iXacs is an advanced production line monitoring system designed to facilitate the transformation into a smart factory through comprehensive IoT integration and Kaizen as a Service (KaaS). This system provides real-time monitoring and visualization of crucial manufacturing data, enabling precise insights into operational efficiency and environmental impact. Its primary goal is to make previously "invisible" production problems "visible" by collecting highly accurate operational data, thereby empowering manufacturers to enhance productivity, reduce energy waste, and lower CO2 emissions. The brochure highlights a significant improvement effect of 400 million Yen per year achieved with this IoT tool. Technically, iXacs acquires 1-cycle operation data by linking sensors to existing equipment, transmitting this information via MIC SIOO devices to the cloud for analysis. This retrofitting capability ensures easy installation without extensive modifications to current setups. The system's core functionalities include detailed CO2 Monitoring & Visualization, which tracks power consumption (kWh/Day, kWh/Month) and CO2 emissions (g/pcs, t/Day, t/Month) across various operational states such as standby, abnormal stops, and active running. It provides a comprehensive CO2 Dashboard for clear visualization. Additionally, iXacs offers a robust production line monitoring dashboard displaying key metrics like product volume rate, operational availability, pieces per hour, power consumption per piece, and CO2 per piece. An integrated Andon status feature provides granular visibility into operational events, including planned stops, model changes, manual stops, tool changes, machine abnormalities, quality checks, and material box changes, allowing for immediate identification and resolution of issues. Users can access this real-time data anytime, anywhere via an internet browser on smartphones or PCs. The Kaizen as a Service component offers systematic support, from initial IoT system installation to comprehensive data analysis and continuous improvement activities. This includes expert staff analysis of collected data, web-based optimization advice, and on-site guidance for implementing improvements and developing human resources. Specific services encompass a 1-month line analysis trial and IoT Collaborate Support, providing data analysis and report creation. The IoT Utilization Improvement Course further assists by offering lectures on data utilization and human resource development, alongside practical examples and guidance for real-time shop floor work. This holistic approach ensures sustained operational excellence and efficiency.
