Overview of the ANTEC UVC Fire Sensor
The ANTEC UVC Fire Sensor is an early-stage fire detection system that detects UVC radiation in the wavelength range of 185–260 nanometers. It is suitable for detecting small flames or sparks that may become the starting point of a fire.
There are two main models: SKH047M, a standard model for general installation, and SKH089, designed for installation in electrical cabinets or electrical panels where there is a risk of electrical short circuits. Both models support detection of a 2 cm flame at a distance of 5 meters and a 4 cm flame at a distance of 10 meters, with a detection speed of 0.5–31 seconds.
Key Features of UVC Flame Detection
The UVC Fire Sensor is suitable for areas that require fast and accurate fire detection, especially points where sparks or small flames may occur before developing into a larger incident.
- Detects flames using UVC radiation in the 185–260 nanometer range
- Detects small flames from 2 cm at a distance of 5 meters
- SKH047M provides a wide detection angle of 120° both vertically and horizontally
- Detection speed can be set to 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8–16 seconds
- Can be installed outdoors without being affected by sunlight
- IP64 water-resistant and dust-resistant standard, suitable for factory environments

Examples of Alarm System Configuration
The ANTEC UVC Fire Sensor can be used to create various additional systems, such as sending alerts through LINE, connecting to warning lights and alarm bells, connecting to automatic fire extinguishing equipment, automatically cutting power at charging points, or displaying multiple detection points on a central monitor.
For warehouses with large areas, a central monitoring display system can be designed so that staff can continuously check the status. For electrical panels, the sensor can be used together with warning lights and alarm bells to notify users when a flame is detected at a risk point.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What types of areas is the ANTEC UVC Fire Sensor suitable for?
A1: It is suitable for warehouses, factories, electrical panels, charging points, product storage areas, and locations that need to detect fire from the early stage.
Q2: What is the difference between SKH047M and SKH089?
A2: SKH047M is a standard model with a wide 120° detection angle, while SKH089 is suitable for installation in electrical cabinets or points with a risk of electrical short circuits.
Q3: Can the detection speed be adjusted?
A3: Yes. The detection speed can be set according to the application, such as 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8–16 seconds, to suit the actual worksite conditions.
Q4: What information should be prepared before making an inquiry?
A4: The installation area, risk points to be detected, required detection distance, number of installation points, and preferred alarm format should be prepared, such as LINE alerts, alarm bells, or an automatic fire extinguishing system.
