Weight Reduction and Space Saving with LH-SS

TRIBO incorporates the “LH-SS” bolt-head design, based on technology provided by OSG SYSTEM PRODUCTS CO., LTD.

LH-SS is a unique bolt-head geometry developed with a focus on efficient torque transmission. Compared with conventional hex-head or hex-flange bolts, it can significantly reduce head dimensions, contributing to lower weight and more compact designs.

In addition, the 0° drive angle provides efficient torque transmission and can also help extend the service life of tightening tools.

Furthermore, because the special head shape requires a dedicated tool for removal, it can also be incorporated as an anti-theft design feature.

Higher Strength with KNDS4

TRIBO uses “KNDS4,” a material with excellent resistance to delayed fracture.

KNDS4 is a high-strength steel developed to provide greater resistance to delayed fracture than conventional materials. This is achieved through grain refinement, a reduction in impurity elements, and the precipitation of fine carbonitrides. The material offers strength equivalent to the 13T strength class.

Its higher strength also makes it possible to reduce the size of the bolt, further contributing to overall product weight reduction.

Effective Anti-Loosening Performance with MOTIONTITE

TRIBO incorporates “MOTIONTITE” thread technology provided by ART SCREW CO., LTD.

During tightening, the inclined thread undergoes slight elastic deformation and comes into firm contact with the flank surface of the mating thread. This elastic flexing helps generate a stable axial force with minimal variation, even without lubricating oil, enabling the bolt itself to provide effective resistance to loosening.

The thread structure is designed to withstand impact and vibration, delivering approximately 1.2 times the fatigue strength of conventional products.

In addition, because auxiliary materials such as thread-locking adhesives are not required, TRIBO can help improve fastening efficiency and reduce costs.
