Workpieces up to 8kg
EVS08 is an electric vacuum gripping unit compatible with a maximum recommended load of 8kg.
It can grip and transport workpieces that are difficult to hold with claws, such as large resin parts, metal sheets, glass, boxes, and battery components. Since there is no need to grip the sides of the workpiece, it is suitable for pick-and-place of products with large flat surfaces.
※The actual transportable weight varies depending on the size and number of suction pads, workpiece surface, transport direction, robot acceleration, etc.
Vacuum Gripping Without External Compressor
EVS08 has a vacuum pump built into its main unit.
There is no need to prepare an external compressor, vacuum generator, or air piping, and it generates vacuum with a DC24V power supply. It is an easy-to-introduce product for locations without air facilities or for equipment where piping around the robot needs to be reduced.
Stable Gripping with Max Flow Rate of 10L/min
It supports a maximum flow rate of 10L/min and a vacuum level of 10-70%.
Since it can secure a higher flow rate than EVS01, it is suitable for transporting large workpieces using multiple suction pads. The vacuum level can be adjusted according to the weight and material of the workpiece.
Two Systems Can Be Controlled Independently
EVS08 can independently control two systems, A and B.
By controlling the left/right or front/rear suction pads separately, it is possible to consider configurations where two workpieces are gripped and released independently, or where only some suction pads are used according to the process.

Transport While Confirming Gripping Status
It supports gripping status feedback and drop detection.
This can be utilized for control such as stopping the robot if the workpiece is not gripped correctly or if the vacuum level drops during transport.

About Workpieces That Can Be Gripped
EVS08 is suitable for workpieces with surfaces where the suction pad can make close contact.
On the other hand, gripping may become unstable for workpieces like the following:
- Large irregularities or steps on the surface
- Many holes or grooves
- Material that easily allows air to pass through
- Rough surface
- Oil, water, or dust adhering
- Heavily curved
- Can only be gripped at a position far from the center of gravity
The maximum recommended load of 8kg does not mean that all workpieces can be gripped up to 8kg.
Selection with a margin for actual transport conditions is necessary.
