What Is FOLDPAC
FOLDPAC is a collapsible steel container designed for repeated use in transport and storage. Built with high-strength steel, it supports stacking when loaded with cargo, giving it a durable structure suited for both land transport and ocean container shipping.
After use, it can be folded down, reducing the storage space needed until collection. Depending on the application, it can also be used together with an 11-type pallet, and supports packing methods that eliminate the need for outer corrugated cardboard.
The product lineup includes the F14, F14H, F11H, and F5 models, which can be selected according to cargo size, weight, and transport conditions. In addition, combining custom partitions designed to match the shape of the product helps reduce cargo movement and contact between products during transport, contributing to the prevention of scratches and damage.
FOLDPAC is used primarily on a rental basis, and is collected and reused after each use.

For Transporting Automotive and Machine Parts That Need to Avoid Scratches and Damage
With automotive parts and precision components, vibration and shaking during transport can cause parts to come into contact with one another, leading to surface scratches, deformation, or damage.
This is especially true for machined metal parts and components requiring high precision — beyond simply reinforcing the outer container, it's equally important to keep the product from shifting inside the container.
As noted above, FOLDPAC allows custom partitions and internal packaging materials to be fitted according to the shape and quantity of the product being transported. Assigning a separate storage position to each part reduces contact and movement between products, helping prevent scratches and damage during transport.
Examples of cargo suited to this approach include:
- Automotive and machine parts where scratches on machined surfaces must be avoided
- Precision parts where damage from vibration and contact during transport needs to be prevented
- Parts that need to be individually fixed in position during transport
- Heavy items where cardboard alone offers insufficient protection
- Parts transported repeatedly between overseas factories
In the automotive sector, FOLDPAC also supports the transport of SKD, CKD, and DKD assembly components.
Also Supports Transport of Liquids and Chemicals
FOLDPAC is not limited to parts — it can also be used to transport liquid raw materials, general chemicals, rubber, and food and beverage products.
For liquids and chemicals, damage to the container or leakage of its contents during transport can result not only in product loss, but also contamination of surrounding cargo and disruption to handling operations. Internal packaging or liners can be combined depending on the application, allowing the packaging specification to be tailored to the contents and transport conditions.
Note that dangerous goods are subject to restrictions that vary depending on the contents and transport conditions, so advance confirmation is required.
Rental Use for International Transport from Thailand
FOLDPAC supports both one-way use and round-trip use, depending on the transport route.
For South Korea, one-way use from Thailand to South Korea is available through a partnership with a Korean partner. For other destinations in Asia and Europe, the arrangement is either one-way use or round-trip use — in which FOLDPAC is collected and returned — depending on the destination country.
A key advantage of the rental model is that customers do not need to purchase and hold their own transport containers, or build a system for collecting them from overseas delivery destinations. By making use of JPR's collection and supply network, companies can consider a returnable operation for international transport while reducing the management burden that comes with owning and collecting transport containers.
Rental fees and available transport routes vary depending on conditions such as quantity used, duration, and destination. Please feel free to inquire for specific operational details and quotations.
FAQ
Q1. Can partitions be designed to match the shape of our products?
A. Yes. Specifications combining custom partitions and internal packaging can be considered according to the shape and quantity of the product being transported. This applies to products such as automotive and precision parts where contact and movement during transport need to be minimized.
Q2. Can this be used for transport from Thailand overseas?
A. Yes. It supports international transport to destinations across Asia and Europe.
For South Korea, one-way use from Thailand to South Korea is available through a partnership with a Korean partner. For other regions, an operational arrangement will be proposed based on the transport route.
Q3. Can FOLDPAC be folded down for storage after use?
A. Yes. After use, it can be folded down, reducing the temporary storage space needed until collection.
