R448A is a non-ozone-depleting HFO/HFC blend refrigerant, serving as a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP ~1387) alternative to R404A and R507. With an ASHRAE A1 (non-flammable, low toxicity) safety class and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), it is designed for medium- and low-temperature commercial refrigeration, offering improved energy efficiency. R448A is suitable for both new equipment and retrofit projects. Applications include supermarket refrigeration, cold rooms, cold storage, display cabinets, freezers, and transport refrigeration.
