Technology & Services

Hose Master (Thailand) / Hoooseman, as the authorized distributor of SYN in Thailand, provides sales and technical support for centrifugal oil mist collectors throughout Thailand.

This product uses a physical centrifugal mist collection technology developed by SYN and patented in China. Unlike collection methods that use filters or high-voltage electrode plates, this system captures oil mist through high-speed rotation and separates and recovers it using centrifugal force. It is suitable for both water-soluble cutting fluids and non-water-soluble cutting oils.

Key Features and Centrifugal Separation Mechanism

This oil mist collector captures oil mist through high-speed rotation and physically separates air from liquid using centrifugal force. The recovered cutting fluid and cutting oil can be reused.

One of its key advantages is that it can reduce common issues associated with conventional filter-type and electrostatic systems, such as filter clogging, cleaning or replacement of electrode plates, and replacement of consumable parts.

Compatible with Both Water-Soluble Cutting Fluids and Non-Water-Soluble Cutting Oils

  • Centrifugal system:
The system can handle both water-soluble cutting fluids used by mixing with water and 100% oil-based, non-water-soluble cutting oils.
  • Comparison with conventional systems:
With filter-type systems, filters tend to clog easily when cutting oils with a high oil content are used. With electrostatic systems, depending on the conditions of the cutting fluid or cutting oil being used, attention must be paid to risks such as electrical leakage, electric shock, and fire.

Recovered Cutting Fluid and Cutting Oil Can Be Reused

  • Centrifugal system:
Because oil mist is physically separated and recovered as a liquid, the recovered cutting fluid and cutting oil can be reused. This can also help reduce cutting oil consumption.
  • Comparison with conventional systems:
In filter-type systems, collected oil adheres to the filter, requiring disposal of used filters. In electrostatic systems, the recovered oil may, in some cases, no longer be suitable for reuse.

Stable Collection Efficiency of 95%–99%

The centrifugal system maintains a collection efficiency of 95%–99%, depending on the type and particle size of the mist, through a physical separation process. SUS material is used internally, and the unit is designed to reduce rust and oil buildup.

In contrast, the collection efficiency of filter-type systems decreases as more oil and contaminants accumulate on the filter. Electrostatic systems can also experience reduced performance due to contamination on the electrode plates, requiring periodic cleaning or replacement.

Energy Savings Through a Centralized Collection System

The centrifugal system supports not only individual collection units installed for each CNC machine tool, but also centralized collection systems in which mist generated by multiple machine tools is collected through ducting and treated by a single large collector.

By processing mist from multiple machine tools together, it is possible to reduce overall equipment power consumption and operating costs.

In some installation cases in China, it has been estimated that the investment in a centralized collection system could be recovered in approximately 1.5 to 2 years through cost savings such as reduced electricity expenses.

No Collection Consumables Required in the Basic Configuration

In its basic configuration, the centrifugal system generally does not require collection filters that must be replaced periodically, as with filter-type systems, or collection electrode plates, as with electrostatic systems.

As a result, it can reduce not only the cost of purchasing consumables, but also the labor required for replacement work and the cost of disposing of used filters.

※ Depending on conditions such as mist particle size, installation environment, and indoor exhaust requirements, additional filters may be necessary.

Helps Reduce the Air-Conditioning Load Inside the Factory

With a centralized collection system, mist can be collected through ducting and sent to a recovery unit installed outside the factory.

Because heat generated during machining can also be discharged outside the factory, the system can help reduce the load on the factory’s air-conditioning system. In installation cases in China, there have been examples of approximately 10% reductions in air-conditioning power consumption.

※ The level of energy savings varies depending on the factory’s equipment configuration and operating conditions.

Applicable to Mist from Processes Other Than Cutting

In addition to mist from cutting fluids and cutting oils, the system can also be applied to the collection and recovery of various types of oil-containing fumes and mist, including release-agent mist generated during casting processes, paint mist, and kitchen oil mist.

Scope of Services in Thailand

Hose Master (Thailand) / Hoooseman is a Thai-Chinese joint venture that has established a sales and technical support system in Thailand.

The company receives technical training from SYN and also carries out product improvements to suit the Thai market. Local staff can visit customer factories to support equipment selection.

In China, the system has been installed at companies such as FOXCONN, AIRTAC, Nidec, and TOYOTA, including large-scale CNC machining factories.

On-Site Survey and Consulting

Thai staff visit the factory to inspect the oil mist collectors currently in use, the layout of CNC machine tools, available space around the equipment, and the planned installation area.

After reviewing the number of machines, machining conditions, and the cutting fluids or cutting oils being used, the team proposes suitable specifications and installation methods.

Comparison Report for Investment Decision-Making

A comparison report is prepared to compare the existing equipment with the centrifugal system, organizing information such as capital investment, expected benefits, electricity costs, maintenance expenses, and after-sales service.

Because the cost-effectiveness can be reviewed before installation, the report can be used as supporting information when deciding whether to replace existing equipment or introduce a centralized collection system.

Multilingual Support

Hose Master (Thailand) / Hoooseman can provide support in Japanese, Thai, English, and Chinese. Japanese staff are also available, allowing the company to provide smooth technical consultation and installation support for Japanese corporate customers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Why is it easier to ensure safety with a centrifugal oil mist collector compared with an electrostatic system?
A1. The centrifugal system does not use high-voltage electrode plates to attract mist. Instead, it physically separates and recovers mist through high-speed rotation and centrifugal force.

As a result, it is a system that can more easily reduce risks such as electrical leakage, electric shock, and fire, which may become concerns with electrostatic systems depending on operating conditions.

Q2. How does being filterless help reduce factory costs?
A2. In the basic configuration, there is no need for collection filters that require periodic replacement. This can reduce filter purchase costs, labor required for replacement, and disposal costs for used filters.

In addition, because cutting fluid and cutting oil recovered through centrifugal force can be reused, the system can also help reduce the consumption of these fluids and oils.

Q3. How can we select the right specifications for our factory?
A3. Staff visit the factory to check the number and layout of CNC machine tools, available space around the equipment, the cutting fluids or cutting oils being used, and exhaust conditions.

Based on this information, they assess whether individual installation or a centralized collection system is more suitable and provide comparative materials covering capital investment, operating costs, maintainability, and other factors.

Q4. Can the system be installed in an existing factory?
A4. Yes. In addition to installing individual units on existing CNC machine tools, it is also possible to consider a centralized collection system in which multiple machine tools are connected through ducting.

Suitable specifications are selected after reviewing factors such as the total volume of the target equipment, the cutting fluids or cutting oils being used, and indoor or outdoor exhaust conditions.

※ Product specifications, collection efficiency, energy-saving effects, maintenance requirements, and other conditions vary depending on the type of mist, machining conditions, and installation environment.
