Nagai Giken (Thailand) places the greatest importance on connections with local suppliers and the “people” involved in manufacturing in Thailand. This is because the cooperation of high-quality suppliers is essential for the company to deliver the “Japanese quality” that is one of its key strengths.

As a place to create new connections with such suppliers and customers, the company has participated in the “Manufacturing Business Matching” event organized by NC Network Asia since 2019.

This time, we will introduce the features of the Manufacturing Business Matching event organized by NC Network, as well as the highlights of the Nagai Giken booth at the event.

■ More Than 100 Manufacturing Companies Gather in One Place!

Efficiently Creating Business Meeting Opportunities with Local and Chinese Companies

The FBC ASEAN Manufacturing Business Matching event, which will be held for the 10th time in 2024, is an exhibition and business matching event specializing in the manufacturing industry. Participating companies can request business meetings with one another in advance, making it popular within the industry as an innovative exhibition that facilitates business matching between companies. In addition to face-to-face business meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, and Hanoi, Vietnam, online business meetings have also been introduced since the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitating business matching across national borders.

Since 2023, companies participating in the concurrently held INTERMACH／Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association, as well as major buyer companies participating through the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), have also become eligible for matching, further strengthening the event as a place where participants can efficiently build connections not only with Japanese companies, but also with local, foreign, and Chinese companies.

■ Initiatives to Stimulate Manufacturing in Thailand Across National Borders

We asked Mr. Kogure, MD of NC Network Asia, about the intention behind expanding the range of companies available for matching, particularly Thai local and Chinese companies.

“In recent years, we have increasingly heard from participating Japanese companies that they are looking to establish new connections with Thai local companies. At the same time, an increasing number of local companies also have a positive outlook and want to create new businesses by utilizing the technologies of Japanese manufacturing companies. To help these needs on both sides come together effectively, we introduced open innovation-style matching from last year. In addition, to enable matching with Chinese EV manufacturers that are attracting considerable attention, EV manufacturers such as BYD and Great Wall are scheduled to exhibit as buyers through the BOI. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the event.”

■ Highlights of the Nagai Giken Thailand 2024 Exhibition Booth

Nagai Giken Thailand has participated since the Ho Chi Minh City event in 2019, and this year will mark its fifth exhibition.
Each year, the company jointly exhibits with KOHO PRECISION BAR AND METAL CO., LTD., which handles migaki steel bars, attracting attention from visitors across a wide range of industries. Samples of various jigs and equipment parts are scheduled to be displayed.
