Neutral Type Copper Oxide Film Remover (for Immersion Treatment)

Copper and copper alloys are prone to oxidation and discoloration due to environmental influences during manufacturing processes and storage, which can lead to appearance defects and poor adhesion in plating, painting, and surface treatment processes.

This product is a neutral type copper oxide film remover that can remove oxide films by simply immersing discolored copper. It selectively removes only oxide films and scales without corroding the metal substrate, contributing to the simplification of pre-treatment processes and quality stability.

• Even if processing oil or contaminated oil is adhering to the copper oxide film surface, it removes discoloration (scale) while also degreasing
• Since it is a neutral type (pH around 7), it does not corrode copper materials even with long immersion times
• Easy discoloration removal is possible with only immersion treatment
• Selectively removes only oxide films and discoloration without damaging the metal substrate
• Highly safe neutral formulation
• Can be used by diluting the undiluted solution, enabling low-cost operation

* If a large amount of oil is present, perform degreasing in advance.

How to Use / Examples of Use

① Copper/Brass Material (before plating, painting, surface treatment)

Degreasing → Rinsing → CU-600 treatment → Rinsing → Plating / Painting / Various Surface Treatments
* Improves throwing power to low current areas.

② Copper/Brass Material (Discoloration Prevention Treatment)

CU-600 → Rinsing → Copper Discoloration Inhibitor BT Series → Rinsing → Drying
* CU-600 treatment cleans the surface, enabling uniform discoloration prevention.

③ Nickel Plated Products

Nickel plating → CU-600 → Rinsing → Various platings
* Can remove the white oxide film that occurs after nickel plating.
